Adolf Hitler:
One of the most wildly known people of history is Adolf Hitler. He was born on April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria. His father was an Austrian custom official and his mother was a young peasant girl, whereas his father was old, fifty-two years old. He was said to be very moody and disobedient especially to his father. His mother on the other hand, was hard-working and kind. Hitler was very much attached to his mother. Hitler’s mother later developed cancer and died when Hitler was about 19. Hitler’s educational years weren’t the greatest. At first, Hitler showed great potential throughout his Primary school years, but that didn’t last very long. When secondary school started the education became harder and Hitler couldn’t keep up very well. He was asked to repeat a grade because he failed an examination, but instead he dropped out. At the age of 16, he had dreams of becoming a painter. He later left home to go to Vienna at the age of 18 and apply for an art school there. Hitler’s application was rejected and his dreams of becoming a painter were doomed. During Hitler’s life in Vienna he grew a sudden hatred for Jewish people he also was introduced to politics. He learned about the idea of saving the purity of blood. Hitler was a strong believer in preserving the Aryan race; this was shown throughout his obvious elimination of Jews attempt.
When the First World War started, Hitler volunteered to fight for the German army. He gained the rank of Corporal. Hitler won several awards for his actions throughout the war. In 1918 he was blinded by mustard gases in October. He was then later put into the hospital and fell into a great state of depression. In 1919, Hitler found himself agreeing with the Anton Drexler’s German nationalism and anti-Semitism. He later found himself giving speeches for that organization and attracted more and more people to the organization.
By 1921, he was named the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi Party). Hitler was later charged for treason in 1923 because he had hoped to get the Bavarian government to start working with the Nazis. He failed though, and was sentenced to a short session in prison. During his time in prison, Hitler wrote down his political ideas and later called it the Mein Kamp. When Hitler was later released from prison and Germany fell into depression, the amount of followers the Nazi party gained was significant.
During the 1932 Presidential, Hitler came in second. The Nazi party gained over 6 million votes. Hitler was later appointed president on January 30th by President Hindenburg due to popularity. Hitler later used this title and power to commence his plans and create an event that will never be forgotten in history.
Isoruku Yamamoto:
Isoruku Yamamoto is responsible for the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was born in 1884 and had his original name changed, Takano, when he was adopted. He graduated that Japanese Naval Academy in 1904, and throughout the next 15 years he was constantly being promoted to higher rankings. He eventually became the commander in chief of Japan's Combined Fleet. Yamamoto was a smart man. It was his idea to attack the US by surprise. He also understood and predicted that if the war with the US lasted more than a year, Japan would lose. His plan on the attack on Pearl Harbor was very well thought out and effective. Eventually, the US tracked him down and shot him to death in 1943.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt:
Franklin D. Roosevelt was born in New York on January 30, 1882. Growing up, he was always a prestigious child that had good mindset and charisma. He eventually became the 32nd President of the United States, despite his inability to walk. He was President for most of World War II. It was his idea to agree on a war with Japan. Through out the world war, Roosevelt was able to heal the nation and the US army was victorious on the battle field. Roosevelt died of cerebral hemorrhage in 1945. His Vice President, Harry S. Truman, took his place after his death. Franklin D. Roosevelt is among the most popular and influential presidents of all time.
Joseph Stalin:
Joseph Stalin was born on 1879 in the a part of the Russian Empire. Like most, he never finished his education. Instead, he focused more on the movement against the Russian monarchy. Stalin, through out his life, had been arrested and sentenced time in Siberia for a number of occasions. Around 1920, Stalin eventually became the official dictator of the Soviet Union. His idea of increasing economic growth, was efficient to a certain extent, but overall was terrible. He was the reason behind so many executions and deaths. Stalin soon died of a stroke in 1953.
Benito Mussolini:
Benito Mussolini was born on 1883 on July 29. He was born in north central Italy. When Mussolini was invited to become a part of the Italian government, he slowly worked on demolishing the democracy. Eventually, Benito became the dictator of Italy. Italy turned into total chaos under the power of Mussolini. The citizens of Italy grew weary on being under such a dreadful ruler and eventually over threw him and sentenced him into time in prison. Mussolini was later found by Italian partisans and shot death on April 28, 1945.
Dwight D. Eisenhower:
Dwight D. Eisenhower was born in Texas in 1890. He was born in Texas, but was raised in Kansas. Through out his military career, Dwight always excelled in his given assignments. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Eisenhower was asked to lead the military attacks on Japan. His plans during World War 2 were victorious. After the war had ended, he decided to run for a more higher ranking. Dwight decided to run for president in 1952. His slogan was irresistible, "I like Ike", and he eventually won the election.
Sir Winston Churchchill:
Sir Winston Churchill was born in 1874, he was the Prime-minister of Great Britain during World War II. His father was Lord Randolph Churchill and his mother was an American woman. He gave his fair share of military time and later became Prime minister in 1940. When the nazis first came into view, Churchill tried a great deal to influence his country and warn them about their epitome for destruction. When Britain realized that the Prime minister before Churchill made a huge mistake by almost joining forces with Germany, he was overthrown and Churchill took his place. Winston's instinct was correct after all.
